Paris Hilton marks 14th anniversary of “inventing the selfie” quickly with Britney Spears

She is credited with paving the way for many reality stars, including Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

And Paris Hilton boldly declared herself the inventor of the selfie, as on Friday she shared a 14-year-old photo in which she poses with the pop icon Britney Spears.

The 39-year-old social media representative celebrated the anniversary of the return of the photo with Toxic hitmaker (38), as he called them both “legends”.

The famous duo shook their signature blond locks in straight hairstyles and wore light makeup. Paris was seen wearing a gray cardigan, while Britney bet on a satin cream shirt.

The entrepreneur wrote: “14 years ago @britneyspears and I made up the selfie #LegendsOnly.”

The blonde couple have been friends for many years, and Paris revealed Britney’s personality and friendship on Andy Cohen Live’s SiriusXM show in September.

She said: “I saw her this summer. We had dinner, I saw her in Malibu. I just love her so much. She is so sweet and so innocent and such a beautiful girl. We are just talking about happy things. Music, fashion … fun things.

“I never like to lift negative things and make people feel uncomfortable, so I’ve never talked about it [the conservatorship] with her.’

Paris was referring to Britney’s conservatism, which is controlled by her father, and began in 2008 after her scandalous collapse in 2007, when she shaved her head at a salon in Tarzan, California.

Britney subsequently lost custody of her children and was placed under forced psychiatric detention in 5150 in 2008 at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, which necessitated conservation by her father.

Britney wants to remove her father, saying she does not want to share control of her $ 60 million fortune and recently announced that she will not participate until things change.

Paris shared her thoughts on conservatism with host Andy, saying: “I feel that if you are an adult, you should be able to live your life and not be in control.

“I think maybe it’s because they control me so much that I can figure out what it would be and I can’t imagine at the moment if it’s still happening to me.

“After just working my whole life and working so hard, she’s this icon and I just feel like she’s not in control of her life at all, and I just don’t think it’s fair.”

Paris has faced her own challenges as she reveals her past trauma in her documentary This is Paris, which came out in September.

The reality star said she was abused and tortured during her stay at school in Provo Canyon in Utah as a child.

She revealed that she was verbally, emotionally and physically abused during school.

Other stars have talked about their experiences at this school or similar, including Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson and tattoo artist Kat Von D.

The Provo Canyon school is now under new ownership and the administration said it could not comment on anything before, including the time in Paris.

The school’s owners declined to comment, citing a statement on the school’s website that the previous owners sold the school in 2000.
