MENTOR, OH (WJW) – The Lake County General Health District is investigating after a resident in Continuing Mentor Health was diagnosed with Legionnaires' disease, which is a type of pneumonia .

According to a press release from the long-term care center, the patient is in stable condition.

There are no other residents or staff presenting signs or symptoms at this time. "At that time, the place of origin is uncertain," said Mark Morley, vice president of operations.

He added that the facility follows policies introduced earlier for such situations.

"We are also committed to working with our county and state partners to ensure the health of our residents, visitors and employees," Morley concluded.
