Patriots destroy planes in Sam Darnold's nightmare

You cannot blame this on Luke Folk.

The Patriots destroyed 33-0 planes Monday night, as planes were dominated in every way. Four weeks after losing to New England with their third string game, they managed to get even worse with starter Sam Darnold back in center.

The Jets dropped to 1-5 and all the good feelings from the Cowboys' upset last week disappeared. It was their eighth straight loss to the Patriots, the longest losing streak in New England in franchising history.

Darnold said this week that the Jets' offense could be "irresistible." They looked completely cool on Monday. The Jets managed only 154 yards, and Darnold had five turnovers in his career, four interceptions (another high in his career) and clicked over his head in the end zone.

At one point, the ESPN microphone caught Darnold saying that he saw "ghosts" after escaping his life from a plethora of blazers that made the Jets' offensive line look silly. Darnold looked completely shaky and unable to get to his feet, as he was being returned all night by freelance runners.

A week after leading the Jets over the Cowboys, Darnold regressed mildly. He went 1

1-for-32 for a career-low 86 yards with four interceptions and a QB rating of 3.6, which was also career low.

Patriot protection came as advertised. The No. 1 unit in the NFL, which only allows three touchdowns all season, is suffocating. Bill Belikik picked up glimpses that left the Jets dizzy and confused. Game after game, the blisters ran out untouched.

The Jets were shut down for the first time since December 10, 2017, when the Broncos beat them 23-0 in Denver. The last time the Patriots shut down the planes was on October 13, 1974, when the Patriots won 24-0.

The Jets won the coin toss on Monday, and it went down from there. They delayed, allowing Tom Brady and the Patriots to offend the ball.
That was a mistake.

Brady took the Jets defense and New England went 78 yards on 16 disc games that ate 8 minutes, 47 seconds and set the tone for the night. The Patriots converted four-thirds in drive, and Julian Edelman had three catches. Drive was limited by Sony Michel's 3-yard touchdown with 6:13 left in the first quarter.

The first Jets disc continued two plays. Patriots safety Devin McCurty dropped Darnold's first pass in the Jets 18 after Dont Hightower and Jamie Collins burst through the line untouched.

The Jets defense kept the Patriots out of the end zone after selection. Former Jet Mike Nugent kicked a 34-yard field goal to make it 10-0.

The Patriots extended it to 17-0 before the first quarter is over. Brady hit Philip Dorset for a 26-yard touchdown. Dorset ran past Truman Johnson, behind the Jets' $ 72.5 million backlog, and the route was continued.

First quarter statistics were staggering. The Patriots outpaced the Jets 141-14 and put the Jets 26 games into play.

If this was a prize fight, they would have been stopped after the start of quarter, but the Jets could not be saved by the referees. Instead, the beating continued into the second quarter. John Simon's defensive end came untouched (meaning the theme here?) And punched Darnold, which made him fuck.

At first it looked like Kyle Van Noah had recovered and ran for a push, but the replay showed Ryan Griffin had touched Noah's Van Glee on the ground and the ball was back to Jets 38.

That only delayed that. which was inevitable at that moment. The Patriots took nine games to reach the end zone, aided by Brian Poole's defensive restraining call in the end zone third down. Michelle scored her second goal of the game, falling to 1 yard for a 24-0 lead.

It felt like the only thing missing was a boot. The game was reminiscent of Thanksgiving 2012 play when Mark Sanchez came across the back end of Brandon Moore and it seemed that everything went wrong for the Jets.

When the game already felt resolved, the Jets actually moved the ball on their next drive thanks to the Patriots' three big penalties. Cornerback JC Jackson was put under the sign of a hold-up and a pass interference, and Danny Shelton was hit with a rough pass from the passer.

The Shelton penalty moved the jets inside the Patriots 20. On the third and 10, Darnold threw his second shutout of the game, He sailed a pass intended for

Demarius Thomas over his head, and Duron Harmon took him out on 1. [19659002] Things didn't improve in the second half. Darnold was selected by Stefan Gilmore and former Jet Terence Brooks to lead to a total of four interceptions. Center Ryan Kalil also slammed the ball over Darnold's head in the end zone and the quarterback pulled it from behind for safety.

The Patriots began landing early in the fourth quarter. Michel scored his third hit of the game, again running with 1 yard.

The game ended with the Patriots fans, the only MetLife remaining, chanting "Brady, Brady."

The Jets now face the 3-4 Jaguars in Jacksonville on Sunday. Theoretically, this starts the easier part of the Jets schedule, but if they play the way they did on Monday night, they will struggle to beat anyone.
