PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a tractor trailer near Interstate 70 on Monday morning.
The accident happened just before 7:30 a.m. on the east lane of I-70 near Exit 38 (Mon-Fayette Freeway) in Fallowfield.

According to the Crown Office of the County of Washington, John Marvin Isenberg III, 33, of Ohio, was working on a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway when the tractor trailer hit him.

Interstate 70 was closed for about three hours, but opened to traffic at about 10:30 a.m.

Pennsylvania police are investigating the accident.
