Pennsylvania’s new coronavirus travel restrictions take effect today

New Pennsylvania COVID-19 travel restrictions take effect today. Anyone visiting Pennsylvania from another state must be tested for COVID-19 within 72 hours of entering the state. “If you don’t have a test result when you come to Pennsylvania, then it should be quarantined until you get a negative test result,” Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said when announcing the new protocols. Those who do not receive a test must be quarantined for 14 days. Pennsylvania residents traveling to other states must follow the same rules when returning home. As for implementation, the state hopes people will comply voluntarily. The order does not apply to people traveling to Pennsylvania for work from neighboring states.
