People wait in line for 12 hours for the first In-N-Out in Colorado

So many of you say you love In-N-Out … but would you wait 12 hours in line for Double-Double?

Well, obviously the Coloradans would do it. On Friday, the first two places in the state of N-Out, in Aurora and Colorado Springs, were open to widespread mania.

According to the Aurora Police Department, the traffic in the area around the Aurora In-N-Out has become entirely animal – the wait for a burger from a few hours ago lasted 12 HOURS. I repeat: 12 HOURS! It’s half a day spent waiting in line for a cheap burger stewed in what is basically a Thousand Islands dressing. This camera for the movement of hundreds of cars waiting in line for this sweet, sweet taste of California fast food is really alarming.

“They will close before you reach the window most likely. Meanwhile, many other local eateries have no hint of waiting,” Aurora PD tweeted.

Full disclosure: As a vegetarian who has never tried an In-N-Out burger, but thinks their animal-style potatoes are perfectly fine, waiting in line for 12 hours feels completely incomprehensible … but hey, everyone you have to find something to live in because in these dark times, I guess.

So, have fun, but relax, burgers fanatics. This isn’t the only shot at Double-Double – the fast food chain is even planning to open a few more locations in Colorado soon. In-N-Out will stay there tomorrow.
