Now this is a look: The boys introduced the first image of Jenson Eckle as Soldier Boy in Season 3 of Amazon Prime’s lavish comic book series.
The Supernatural the vet portrays the first superhero who, after fighting in World War II, became the first “super celebrity” and a mainstay of American culture for decades. The concert brings together the actor with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, who serves as the showrunner of The boys.
“Soldier Boy is the original filth,” said costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, who created the costume with conceptual artist Greg Hopewood. “Our goal was to highlight a bygone era of blatant masculinity and rudeness. With this pedigree, we plunged headlong into a roast of all-American quality, based on the practicality of a military soldier, with a heavy dose of cowboy old man. We knew the actor had to have a Steve McQueen look and cut with John Wayne̵
Kripke added: “When I threw Jenson as a boy soldier, the first thing I said was ‘I’m most excited about you because of the amazing process you’re going through with LJ, our Super Suit designer.’ It took six months, but the experience exceeded Jensen’s expectations. LJ has made a work of art that points his hat at the boy from World War II from the comics, while taking him in a shiny new direction. And if you think the pictures are cool, just wait until you see Jenson in action. This is one of my favorite costumes. Also, you can now stop blocking my Twitter notifications with requests to see it. “

Following the announcement of Ackles’ casting last August, Kripke said in a statement: “When I was a child, I had a crazy, impossible dream – to provide Jenson Ackles with a lucrative job. I am happy to say that the dream has come true. Jenson is an amazing actor, an even better person, he smells like hot chocolate chip cookies and I consider him a brother.
“As a boy soldier, the first superhero, he will bring so much humor, pathos and danger to the role,” Kripke added. “I can’t wait to be on set with him again and bring some Supernatural to The boys. “
During the 2nd final of Season 2 with questions and answers with TVLine, Kripke was annoyed that with the arrival of The Soldier’s Boy “comes the big season mythology, which he permeates all the way. The season is something like it. “
