Pixel 5, Chromecast with Google TV, Nest Audio: All of Google’s announcements today

Last week Amazon has launched its annual armada of new products on us – Now it’s Google’s turn. The company Start Night In Wednesday’s flow follows its own unveiling the budget phone Pixel 4A in August. This event confirmed the existence of its next flagship phone, the Pixel 5and Pixel 4A 5G. They were released today, along with a new Chromecast and a new smart speaker from Nest, Nest Audio. However, there were a few surprises, apart from the Hold for Me phone feature, which puts those awful conversations that you have forever in the hands of Google Assistant.

The message of Pixel 5, as with previous flagship Google phones, was more fluid than the ancient aqueduct (or perhaps, as CNET’s Lynn suspects, “leaks” are part of Google’s marketing strategy).

Everything just announced at the Google Pixel 5 event

Google’s latest flagship adds 5G support to Google’s rotation and it launches in the Google Store before the announcement. It starts at $ 699 (£ 599, AU $ 999). The camera adds Portrait LIght and Night Sight in portrait to the camera. And with the new phone, Google has added a large suite of services called Google One, a la Apple One.

The updated $ 50 Chromecast (£ 60, AU $ 99) has a new remote with an Assistant button, as well as special high-profile streaming buttons. “More useful TV” is Google’s slogan for Google TV, which looks like Android TV: The next generation. It updates the referral mechanism and provides better search results, as well as summarizes your streaming subscriptions.

More bass, value and skinny looks seem to be the main features of the Nest intelligent speaker. They will bring you $ 100 (£ 90, AU $ 149). Read our Nest Audio first here.
