Prince Edward spoke of tensions in the British royal family.
Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest son told CNN that the situation with Prince Harry and Megan Markle was “very sad”.
The couple resigned as senior members of the royal family in March 2020, moved to California and told Oprah Winfrey in an interview with everyone that they felt unsupported and unprotected by the “company”.

The 57-year-old Earl of Wessex said all families have problems, but he hopes Markle and Harry are happy.
“It’s hard for everyone, but these are the families for you,” he said.
Edward is also contemplating the loss of his father, Prince Philip, in April at the age of 99.
“It was an experience that so many other families had to go through in the last year or 18 months, and in that sense it was particularly touching,” the royal said, referring to the pandemic. “There are an awful lot of people who have failed to express the respect they would like to have. I think a lot of people would like to be there to support the queen.”

Edward added that his mother “is actually doing extremely well”, even though she has lost her husband of 73 years.
“I think it was a fantastic partnership, but in the last few weeks life has become much busier. Things are starting to open up more, there are more activities, so strange that some kind of fills every particular void,” he explained.
