Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank move into the home of Megan Markle and Prince Harry in the United Kingdom.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their home in the UK in early 2020. While Frogmore Cottage still remains their private residence abroad, sources confirmed to People magazine that Megan and Harry have kindly provided the property to Eugenie, who is awaiting her first kid.
“Frogmore Cottage continues to be the residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the UK,” a source told People, “and they are happy to be able to open their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack when they start a family.”
The Sun was the first to announce the deal, citing a source who said “removal vans”

The news comes on the heels of Harry and Megan leaving the United Kingdom, where Harry was raised. The couple announced their plans to retire as senior members of the royal family in January.
Megan and Harry then moved temporarily to Vancouver, Canada, before settling in California. The couple was first reportedly staying at Tyler Perry’s multimillion-dollar mansion in Los Angeles, the hometown of the former Suits actress. The couple then bought a home in Santa Barbara, where they currently live with their son Archie.
Eugenie, 30, announced in September that she and Brooksbank were expecting their first child. She shared the happy news on Instagram with a charming photo of a pair of fuzzy baby shoes with a teddy bear.

“Jack and I are so excited about the beginning of 2021 …”, Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter captioned the photo.
Buckingham Palace also confirmed her pregnancy in a statement at the time.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021,” the official royal family wrote under the couple’s photo on their wedding day. “The Duke of York and Sarah, the Duchess of York, Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are pleased with the news.”
As early as January, Megan and Harry explained on their former website that Frogmore Cottage would continue to be their residence in the United Kingdom even after they left as senior members of the British royal family. The villa is owned by Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

“Frogmore Cottage will continue to be owned by Her Majesty the Queen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will continue to use Frogmore Cottage – with the permission of Her Majesty the Queen – as official residence, as they continue to support the monarchy and so their family will always have a place to call home in the United Kingdom, “said their website.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been offered to reside in Frogmore Cottage by the Queen after it was determined that a residence at Kensington Palace would not be accessible until the fourth quarter of 2020 due to necessary renovations. Meanwhile, the necessary repairs to Frogmore Cottage were already underway and were completed before the birth of their first child, Archie.
The website explains that it is part of the monarchy’s obligation to maintain historic royal palaces through public funds. However, for those who believe the couple lives high in the audience, their website notes that the total cost of choosing Frogmore Cottage instead of the Kensington Palace residence is “equal to 50 percent of the property originally offered.” He also noted that public funds had only been used to maintain the historic building.
