The co-hosts of the popular American talk show The View hardened the royal family as “desperate” in their attacks on Megan Markle. ABC co-host Sunny Hostin even called on the Queen to publicly apologize “for not defending” Megan. The rift between Sussex and the rest of the Royal Family escalated ahead of an interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday.
Days before the interview came out, Buckingham Palace announced an investigation into allegations of harassment by the Duchess of Sussex.
Co-host of The View Upi Goldberg chaired a lively discussion about the latest royal drama.
When pressed by Mrs. Goldberg, Mrs. Hostin struck the Royal Family’s behavior as desperate, adding that time was running out.
She told The View: “I̵
“I’m just surprised they didn’t even try to apologize for not protecting her anymore, but instead they did.
“That says a lot, I think, about the work of the Royal Family.”

Colleague Megan McCain reiterated this, saying that the time of the investigation was organized.
She said: “This is really interesting because it is a very obvious opposition to Megan Markle and one of the things she is accused of abusing is to send emails to employees early in the morning.
“So I think that’s obviously ridiculous on many different levels.
“Right now, they are trying to make Megan Markle look really bad, including accusing her of wearing diamond earrings that were given to her by the Prince of Saudi Arabia after the assassination of Jamal Hashoghi.
Vanity Fair royal correspondent Katie Nicole said people in the United States were on Megan’s side in a row, which could create a problem for the royal family.
She said: “Many Americans are now the Megan Team, and that is really a big problem for the royal family.
“They’re extremely popular in the United States, but you hear a lot of Americans say, ‘This is a download.'”
In videos published in the interview with Oprah, Ms. Markle accused the “Company” – using the Royal Family’s description – of spreading a “completely false story based on misleading and harmful misinformation.”
