The Steelers lost the right attack to Zack Banner due to a knee injury late Monday night over the Giants’ victory and it looks like he will not return with the team this season.

NFL Media’s Tom Pelisero reports that Banner broke his ACL. Based on Banner’s emotionality after the injury, the diagnosis came as no big surprise.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin did not confirm the news on Tuesday, but said that Banner is not there yet and the team has started to create its own list for his absence. According to numerous reports, they signed the fight with Gerald Hawkins from the Texas team.

Hawkins was selected for the fourth round of the Steelers in 2016 and played in five games for them in 2017. He was replaced by the Buccaneers last year and appeared in one game for Tampa.
