Result from Astros vs. Rays: Live MLB playoff playoff updates as Tampa looks to increase their lead over Houston in ALCS Game 2

The Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Race will continue their best of seven American League championships on Monday afternoon at Petko Park in San Diego. Reyes jumped to a 1-0 run after winning a close match 1 on Sunday.

Astros will start right-handed Lance McCullers Jr. for Game 2. McCullers continued just four passes in Game 1 of ALDS against athletics. He gave up five runs (four wins, three home runs) with nine hits and a walk until he crossed out five. In his five career starts after the season, the McCullers are 1-0 with a 3.75 ERA.

Reiss will face right-wing Charlie Morton. Morton was part of the 201

7 Astros team that won the World Series. He signed with Reiss as a free agent during the 2018 season. Morton won his Game 3 ALDS start against the Yankees. He allowed two runs (one won) of four hits with six strikeouts and two walks over five innings. In three postseason starts with Tampa, Morton is 3-0 with a 1.20 ERA. When Astros and Rays faced each other in last year’s ALDS, Morton allowed one run and made nine of every five innings in Tampa Bay’s Game 3 victory.

CBS Sports will be without the entire game, providing live updates below.
