The Professional Fighters League (PFL) continues its season in 2021 tonight (Thursday, June 10, 2021) with the latest of its lightweight and featherweight tournaments, plus the big name’s debut as part of the attraction.

The main event of PFL 4 sees one of the best-performing boxers of the modern era, two-time Olympic gold medalist and undisputed two-division champion Clares Shields, replace the cage ring against veteran Britney Elkins. The joint film initially saw Anthony Pettis return from his upset loss to Clay Collard against Alex Martinez, but illness forced Showtime to come out yesterday (details), leaving Martinez to face two-time champion Nathan Schulte.
The main card will also see Buba Jenkins seek to maintain momentum against UFC veteran Bobby Moffett and Brendan Lognan by facing Tyler Diamond, while the lower card includes those such as Clay Collard, Lance Palmer and Marcin Held, among others.

First round: They both send early kicks. Diamond scents on the right. He is the most aggressive so far, but is yet to land. One minute in. Both land right in the center. Kick with a diamond foot. Lounne low blow to right hand. Another exchange of right hands. Kick to Loughnane in two minutes. Diamond with a left hook at the bottom, passes wide with an inscription. Loughnane tries to trap the ball, firing 1-2. Left hand kick to calf kick. Two minutes to go.
Another kick from the calf knocks Diamond down. The combination of Diamond is not enough. Loughnane kick kicks. Diamond fired from a long distance, struggling to finish one leg, and Lognan parted with 45 seconds to go. Heavy kick from Loughnane. Short distance combo. Diamond kicks him and leads him to the fence, a vile right hand. 10-9 Loughnane.
Second round: Loughnane is looking for an early header. Diamond really struggled with the distance and failed with his shots. Loughnane beef kick, avoid combos. Experience with a blow to the head. One minute inches. Loughnane fired, slipped in, and stood up as he stretched. He triples the right hand, starting with the upper arm, and places the Diamond. Heavy subsequent shots to the ground. Diamond tries to fight, continues to eat massive shots. He somehow manages to survive and get to his feet. He stumbles, throwing his left hand and twists from the calf’s kick. Lognan hit him on the ground. Diamond survives again and manages to kick Lognein to stay a minute until the end.
Lognan lowered him to the fence and tried to beat him by a guard. A brief lull. One minute left. Now a few heavy right hands from Loughnane in the final seconds. 10-8 Loughnane.
Third round: Loughnane hits an early download, can’t keep him there. A rigid left hook connects. Diamond is still marching after him, entering the uppercut and a massive right hook. A knee and more punches put in another knockdown. Lognan stretches from his right arm and ends up at the bottom in midfield. Back to full security. Diamond cut with short strokes. Loughnane released his legs and stood up after two minutes. Loughnane opposes the demolition and receives a warning. Diamond keeps moving forward, entering another right hand. Brutal low shot and 1-2 by Loughnane. Diamond catches a blow with the body to take off against the fence and puts himself in half guard. Two minutes to go.
Nice knee to Diamond’s body as he grinds on top. Loughnane relaxed his feet again on his feet with a minute to go. Diamond shoots, rejected, fall into the counter counter. He leaned straight into his knee and managed to pull it out in an attempt to remove it. Another knee and more blows. More knees to the bell. 10-9 Loughnane.
Final result: Loughnane defeats Diamond by a majority decision
