Reynolds signs bill that allows landlords to refuse tenants using federal aid

Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a series of new laws Friday, one of which could bring a lawsuit from the federal government. The law will allow Iowa landlords to refuse tenants who use federal housing assistance. Some cities and counties in the state have ordinances that prohibit discrimination against tenants under Section 8. This law makes these ordinances legal. Biden officials said they could sue Iowa over the bill. See back at KCCI News at 9pm and 10pm for more details.
