Roger Waters sets 2022. These are not dates for a training tour

Roger Waters will begin what he brazenly annoys with “his first farewell tour,” officially called This Is Not a Drill, next summer. He was scheduled to launch the campaign last year, but blocking the pandemic thwarted his plans. The new cycle of dates will begin in Pittsburgh on July 6, 2022.

Tickets are now sold through RogerWaters.com. Those who have retained tickets for the dates for 2020 will receive an email with additional information about the new dates. These tickets will be valid for the new dates.

“This Is Not A Drill is an innovative new rock’n’roll / cinematic extravaganza performed in a circle,” Waters wrote in a statement. “This is a stunning accusation of corporate dystopia, in which we all struggle to survive, and a call to action to love, protect and share our precious and insecure home on the planet. The show includes a dozen great songs from Pink Floyd̵

7;s Golden Era along with several new ones – words and music, the same writer, the same heart, the same soul, the same person. It could be his last hurray. Come on! My first farewell tour! Don’t miss it. Love, R. ”

When Waters announced the tour last year, he promised an entirely new production after his Us + Them and The Wall tours, which will be presented at the round.

When he originally planned it, he had planned it to run until the 2020 elections. “[The new tour] it will be even more political than us + They were – political and humane, “Waters said Rolling stone in 2019. “Today we listened to songs and looked at setlists. We talked about what to call it? I shouldn’t give it away, but I don’t care, because probably everything will change, but imagine the iconic helicopter that usually arrives before “The Happiest Days” and “Brick 2” – that noise we all know and love – and Imagine a megaphone, someone has abused this device before, I know – but “it’s not a workout.” I thought this might be a good title for the show: This is not a workout. The ruling class is killing us. ”
