Rupert Grint said fame is the only topic he and his former Harry Potters stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe never talk about.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Grint discusses finding paternity after the birth of his daughter on Wednesday, May 2020.
Grint, who is currently starring in the Apple TV horror series The Servant, told the Times that although he loves the role, he “always toys with the idea of leaving acting.”
Grint said, “Becoming a father has increased those feelings. Don’t get me wrong, I love working on The Servant and I feel extremely comfortable in the television environment,” Grint said.
“But Potter happened at such a young age and it was hard for me to deal with the glory of things. If I ever met Dan [Radcliffe] or Emma [Watson], fame is the only thing we never talk about. “
Grint went on to talk about the level of fame he, Radcliffe and Watson have thanks to Potter, and says that while he doesn’t compare them to the Beatles, he believes the three have survived “a little” at the level of strong the fame the Beatles had.
“I’m always grateful to Potter fans and I never refuse selfies, but sometimes I miss anonymity,” Grint said. “At least the lock allowed me to wear a mask. I was thinking of doing one with Dan’s face.”
The actor, who recently said he gained a “bad reputation” while playing “Potter” when he can’t stop laughing during Dumbledore’s funeral scene, wondered what path he would take if he dived and walked far at all. from acting. It turns out Grint is a big fan of carpentry and construction.
“Before locking, I was always hanging out at B&Q, buying more tools. And I just started my own line of miniature pottery. If it’s asleep on Wednesday, I throw some clay on my bike and make small jugs and bowls.”
Grint, Radcliffe, Watson may not have much time to go out with their respective busy schedules, but Radcliffe took the time to send Grint a congratulatory text message when his daughter was born. Radcliffe told Bravo in “Watch What Happens Live,” “It’s also very strange to me to think we’re all the age we have kids, but we definitely are.”
