Ryan Reynolds opens for his last phone call with Alex Trebeck

Ryan Reynolds recalls his last conversation with the late Alex Trebeck, who died earlier this month at the age of 80 after battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

“I spoke to Alex on the phone two months ago and it was amazing – and then just like him he was not,” Reynolds said in an interview with Extra, published on Monday.

“It was a conversation about one of the shows that was coming up. I was on the show a few times, he asked me if I could come back again, “he said.

“I was filming in Atlanta and I couldn̵

7;t do it, but I managed to talk to him, which is always a privilege and a pleasure,” the actor added.

Reynolds said his conversation with Trebeck – and the death of the iconic host a few weeks later – made him think.

“It’s absolutely distorted,” Ryan Reynolds said of Alex Trebeck’s death.

“You just never know; tomorrow is not a given, “said the actor, describing the danger! “The death of the host as” really shocking and sad. ”

“Obviously he was sick and it wasn’t completely, unexpectedly unexpected, but it’s still heartbreaking. That’s absolutely comprehensive, “Reynolds said.

The actor remembered Trebeck in a touching tribute on the day his death was announced, revealing that the host was involved in one of Reynolds’ upcoming projects.

“Alex Trebek was kind enough to make an episodic film for our film ‘Free Man’ last year, despite his battle,” Twitter tweeted.

“He was kind and funny. Apart from being curious, firm, generous, soothing and, of course, Canadian. We love you, Alex. And he always will. ”

Sony Pictures Television also recently announced that the deceased host was working until October 29 – 10 days before his death – and that his latest “Danger!” Episode would air on Christmas.
