The Titans made a lot of great plays in their 42-16 beat to the Bills on Tuesday night, but quarterback Ryan Tanehill could only rave once after the game.
It was Derrick Henry’s firm hand that made Bills turn corner defender Josh Norman, a play that Tanehill found both incredible and appropriate for Henry’s course.
“I shouted, ‘holy nonsense,'” Tanehil told SI.com. “It was amazing just to see the way he threw this man. Derrick is a special player. We saw his stiff hand. I saw everything last year. I saw him before I got here, highlights from him. Apparently he is a strong, physically difficult runner. This was probably one of the worst stiff hands I’ve ever seen, no doubt. “
While Henry was the most important focus, it was Tannehill that became a truly exceptional game, keeping the discs alive all night, as the Titans made a major statement that they were among the league’s elite teams.
