Safareeis down Erica Mena have tremendous benefit from the home they share, but he does NOT want it to have primary custody of their children.
The “Love & Hip Hop” star has just thrown down the gauntlet in response to Erica’s custody request for their divorce. According to new legal documents received from TMZ, Safaree says he wants joint legal custody, which means he wants a say in parental decisions about their newborn daughter, Sapphire, and their second baby, which is expected next month.
What’s more … Safari says he wants consistent and continuous parenting and visiting with his children. He says it is in the best interests of the children.
As for Erica’s application for exclusive use of the home, which they currently share … Safaree seems open to him if he can be removed from any liability related to the property by refinancing the mortgage … and if he accepts that he receives his share of any equity in the property.
Safaree also wants to retain exclusive ownership of their individual vehicles and be allowed to maintain individually all personal property acquired during the marriage. As for maintenance … he wants the court to refuse her and he wants the court to set child support obligations for them.
As we reported … Erica filed for divorce in May, just a few months shy of their 2nd anniversary. She wanted basic custody of the children, but Safari did not give up without a fight.
