G-Wagen Jimny or Jeep ? Three boxes of squares designed to continue when the asphalt is running out and traffic will go away. Despite their outward resemblance, these three trucks have many different approaches to make the most of their gifts off the road, and the CarWow boys have put them to the test.
The big contrast here is between the high power and the high tech, and the heavy weight of the nearly 600 horsepower G-Class against the diminutive and simple dirt Suzuki Jimny. Wrangler, equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, covers the trio as perhaps the most affordable of the three for American buyers who can't get Jimny here and for whom the G63 is a fantasy-winning product.
Now, I have some reservations about the criteria for this test. The format leaves a lot of driving skills, which seems to favor the more modern and powerful G-Class over the hand-fitted Gini and the built-in Jeep, but with a number of challenges, all three trucks seem to have pros and cons in the mud. Do you have a favorite of the three? One you prefer to get out on the trail? Let us know in the comments.
