Vince Clemente of the Classic Tetris World Cup team turned to Shacknews a while ago. He published the following statement, which will soon be published on the website of the World Classic Tetris Championship.
We share with broken hearts that Jonas Neubauer, a 7-time CTWC champion, died suddenly on January 4.
Jonas was an absolute pillar of positivity and humility for our CTWC family. We could never ask for a bigger champion, role model and friend. He was kind, real, cheerful, incredibly talented and a brilliant ambassador of the game. While he was the biggest last boss, he always had the warmest heart. He will live as a legend for our community and many others around the world.
Jonas, we miss you, we love you and thank you for inspiring us to always be the best.
Rest in peace our mighty hero.
