Some Ubisoft PS4 games will not work on PS5, including Assassin’s Creed titles

All of Ubisoft’s Xbox One games will be backward compatible in the Xbox Series X, but eight PlayStation 4 titles won’t make the leap to the PlayStation 5, according to a Ubisoft Connect blog post.

“Most of our list of games will have backward compatibility between the next and current generation of consoles,” Ubisoft said in a statement, “with a few exceptions.”

These exceptions are Assassin’s Creed Syndicate,, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack,, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India,, The Chronicles of Assassin̵

7;s Creed China,, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia,, Risk,, Star Trek Bridge Crew,, Werewolves inside, and Space addicts – VR shooter with a space theme. Owners of these PS4 games will need to keep the console up and around if they want to continue playing.

But not everything is bad news. Some of Ubisoft’s games, which boast backward compatibility with the next generation, will also have cross-progression. Players will be able to transfer their PS4 files for recording to In honor,, Section 2,, The crew 2 and upcoming PS4 versions of Just Dance 2021 and The Prince of Persia: The Sands of a Time Remake to PS5 consoles.
