A shootout at a crowded bar in Lancaster, South Carolina, left two people dead and nine injured early Saturday, according to authorities.
Gunfire erupted at about 2:45 a.m. at the Old Skool & Grill Sports Bar, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
Two men were killed at the scene and eight were injured in the shooting, four of which were taken to hospital. Another person was injured in the fall when cartridges tried to escape from a bar according to Lancaster Enterprise.
"It was a brutal incident of a huge scale, witnessed by many people," Sheriff Barry Feile said in a statement. "Two people are dead and many others are seriously injured.
The statement said that a large crowd was at the bar when the shooting took place and that shots were fired inside and outside the bar.
The bar is located in Lancaster, about 60 miles north of Colombia.
