ROANOKE, Virginia (WDBJ) – In the last few weeks, the trend when it comes to COVID-19 has fluctuated and has been declining recently.
But between Tuesday and a week ago, some things shifted.
“Our cases are definitely increasing again,” said Dr. Molly O’Dell of the Virginia Department of Health.
According to O’Dell, this increase is due to a certain way of thinking.
“People say, ‘Well, I couldn’t do my father̵
The other main reason is the number of outbreaks.
Six new outbreaks have been registered in the last week, bringing the total to 18. More than half of them are companies.
“I don’t believe we’ve had 10 outbreaks in business throughout this pandemic, so this is the largest number of outbreak companies at the same time,” O’Dell said.
O’Dell says this is largely related to operating practices in these companies, which range in size from small to large.
“We have noticed a business practice for both screening and social distancing, and compliance with the use of the face cover has dropped significantly.”
And with the confirmation of the flu groups A and B in the health districts of Roanoke City and Allegheny, O’Dell says that it is crucial not only for the business, but also for everyone to do their job.
