SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Springfield-Green County Health Department announced its largest daily number of COVID-19 cases since February.
Health leaders announced 142 new cases Tuesday morning. The jump is compared to the seven-day moving average of only 42 daily cases. Missouri health leaders reported a seven-day moving average of about 260 cases of coronavirus. The number in Arkansas remains stable, with health leaders reporting only 62 cases on Monday.
Staff at both Springfield hospitals reported 66 hospitalizations from the virus on Monday.
Health leaders will discuss the jump in cases after Remembrance Day during a press conference on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
