Press release from the Humboldt Joint Information Center:

A total of 2,124 residents of the county tested positive for COVID-19 after 93 new cases were reported today.

Employees of the Humboldt County Center for Public Health and Emergency Operations are in the process of planning vaccinations for all other Phase 1A health care providers. Health Officer Dr. Jan Hoffmann said that while implementing early stages of vaccine distribution is a challenge, the county is steadily advancing. “We continue to build relationships with suppliers and strengthen existing relationships with others to provide this vaccine to as many people as possible,”

; he said.

Dr. Hoffman went on to say that those in phase 1A and working in health practices or offices who have not planned vaccinations should contact the Joint Information Center at 707-441-5000 for more information.

State guidelines for Phase 1B, which will focus on people over the age of 75, have not yet been published.
