Press release from the Humboldt Joint Information Center:
A total of 515 Humboldt residents tested positive for COVID-19 after three new cases were reported today.
Two of the three levels of risk warning in the county – the capacity of the health system and the effectiveness of disease control – have improved and moved from second or yellow to first or green. The change in the capacity of the health care system is due to trends in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 and the availability of critical medical resources. The change in the effectiveness of disease control is due to the effectiveness of community relief and public health efforts to control the spread of COVID-19.
The spread of the COVID-19 alert level remains at level two or yellow, which maintains the overall warning level at level two or yellow. Visit humboldtgov.org/dashboard to see the county level alert tool.
