Press release from the Humboldt Joint Information Center:
No additional cases of COVID-19 were reported today, marking the first day of October with zero cases. The last day with zero positive tests is September 18. The total number of confirmed cases in Humboldt County remains 544.
Dr. Teresa Frankovic, a Humboldt County health official, said residents should continue to focus on COVID-19 prevention measures, while emphasizing that activity and exercise are also an important part of public health.
“This is a great time to go out and take advantage of the warmer weather,”; said Dr. Frankovic. “Regularly going out for walks, cycling, hiking or other low-risk activities can increase energy levels and improve your mental and physical health. We are so incredibly lucky to live here in beautiful Humboldt, where we can enjoy being active outdoors while easily distancing ourselves and following all the safety precautions of COVID-19. ”
