Steam’s latest client beta update has added more support for Sony’s new DualSense controller. You can use DualSense with Steam before this update, but most of its features were not turned on when you synchronized the new controller with your computer.
“Additional support has been added for the PS5 DualSense controller, including LED, trackpad, rumble and gyroscope functionality,” the update notes. Support for the directional drag feature is also included.
This is the Steam Client Beta, where Valve is testing new additions to its platform, so it is not available to Steam users who have not joined the beta. We were soon able to see official support for all users based on how quickly they added DualSense support. We hope to see support for adaptive triggers soon.
