Golden State Warriors star Clay Thompson may have just suffered a significant Achilles injury, which will have a huge impact on the Dubs 2020-21 campaign. Stephen Curry picked up the report and the former back-to-back MVP turned to social media to send an encouraging message to his backyard partner.
Curry posted this short post in her Instagram stories via ClutchPoints on Twitter:

Curry seemed to have lost his words and had nothing to say but a reassuring message to Thompson. After all, what else can you say after hearing such heartbreaking news like this, right? Needless to say, Curry, the rest of the warriors, Dub Nation, and especially Clay are extremely discouraged right now.
Not too many details have been provided about Thompson’s leg injury, other than the fact that it includes his Achilles. The five-time All-Star is expected to undergo an MRI on Thursday, and the results should reveal the severity of the injury, as well as an estimated schedule for its return.
There were already whispers of a possible Achilles tear for Thompson, which would be the worst case scenario for him and the warriors. The 30-year-old missed the entire last season, recovering from an ACL injury, and if he has to go under the knife again because of this problem with Achilles, it could lead to a new season on the sidelines for the two-time All-NBA team member.
Prayers for Clay.
