LOS ANGELES – Memorial created in honor of the life and legacy of the murdered rapper and activist of the Nipsey Hussle community, became violent Monday night.

Hundreds of fans gathered in front of Grammy-nominated Southern Los Angeles clothing store a day after Hussell was shot in the same place. But with the fall of the night, violence broke out and people were trampled as they fled.

One person was stabbed and six other people were injured for unknown reasons.

US reporter TODAY witnessed a male victim lying on the ground with a woman who appeared to have been stabbed.

First respondents transported 19 injured. People with at least two critically injured, Los Angeles firefighters Margaret Stewart told US Today.

LAFD said it reported shooting that arrived at 8:14 PST, although the police later said there was no evidence of shots. Stuart says there is no evidence of gunshot wounds, and most of the injuries were insignificant and related to the crowd

Earlier, ABC7 reporter Veronica Mirac wrote that "HUGE Thumbs People thought they heard something breaking or heard a loud noise and started running."
