Whether it’s light bulbs, light switches or accessories, smart lights are among the most popular smart home gadgets on the market. This may have something to do with the fact that we use our lights more than anything else in our homes. Why not sensible things?
If the thought tempts you, then Prime Day prices can seal the deal – and if you’re already a smart lighting converter, then Prime Day is a great time to bring in some light bulbs and lights at a discount to help decorate halls with automatic a light you can control with your voice. Here are the best deals we̵
Eero is Amazon’s brand on the front of the network and has a new network router that goes on sale this fall with full support for Wi-Fi 6, the latest and most advanced version of Wi-Fi. This system, the Eero 6, is out by November 2, but if you’re ready to pre-order a 3-piece setup during Prime Day, Amazon’s regular retail price of $ 279, Amazon will offer a free Echo Dot smart speaker and two free bulbs Philips Hue to sweeten the deal.
This is a nice little setting out there because the new Eero router has a built-in Zigbee radio that can pair these bulbs directly to your home’s Wi-Fi network without the need for a Philips Hue Bridge. This means that you will also be able to turn them on and off using Alexa voice commands, where this Echo Dot comes from.
Two reservations. although. First, you don’t get the new, spherical Echo Dot – instead it’s the previous 2018 washer-shaped version. Second, these are Hue White Ambiance bulbs, not full-color Hue bulbs. This means that you can change their color temperature between yellowish, candle-like and hotter, bluish-white day tones, but you can’t make them emit red, green, blue, or anything else in the RGB spectrum. Still, a pretty good deal here. Read more about CNET.
Speaking of Hue, if you head to Best Buy today for some counterprogramming, you’ll find a package with Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus and a 1-meter extension strip for $ 60. That’s a total of 3 meters of intelligent color-changing light for $ 45 less. than the package usually costs.
Just know that this is an older version of the Hue Lightstrip, so it doesn’t include Bluetooth support and can’t emit more than one color at a time. Still, if you have some cabinets on the back of a TV that could benefit from a nice pop with accents, it’s probably worth giving up.
Wiz is a sparse little starter light that makes some surprisingly decent smart bulbs – decent enough that the parent company of Philips Hue Signify bought the brand last year and started selling the bulbs as “Philips Wiz Connected” LEDs. These versions precede the date that rebrands the brand, but they are just as stable and just as capable of connecting to Alexa or Google Assistant without the need for additional hub hardware. And if you buy them today at Best Buy, you’ll save a quick $ 8 out of 2 packs, reducing the price of a light bulb to just $ 10.

Cree is the basis of the lighting path (at least in Home Depot), and smart light bulbs at affordable prices have long been a quick and easy way to fill your home with a bright, adjustable with the ability to adjust the light. Now, for Prime Day, this deal is even better, as Cree has soft white smart bulbs marked at 75% – only $ 3 per bulb.
Just remember that Cree’s smart bulbs use Zigbee radios to send their signals, so you’ll need a Zigbee hub to automate them. Amazon Echo Plus, the second generation Amazon Echo Show, Wink Hub and SmartThings Hub will work, among other options.
Meanwhile, regular, unconnected Cree LED bulbs are also sold for Prime Day, with discounts of up to 40%. Read more about CNET.
This intelligent dimmer switch from Leviton doubles as a living space for Alexa thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker. Use it to replace an old light switch and you will be able to control that light from your phone or with a voice command – including voice commands taken from the switch itself.
Whether this is a decent upgrade is up to you, but it makes sense for Alexa’s alternatives. At a first day price of $ 80, you save $ 20 from the normal retail price.

Don’t need the extra Alexa speaker on your light switch? Decora regular dimmers without a built-in microphone and speaker are also sold for Prime Day. Final cost after the discount: $ 38 each.
This is not bad for a Wi-Fi smart dimmer switch and doesn’t need an extra hub to connect to your home network. Along with Alexa, you can sync it with Google Assistant for voice commands. If you prefer to control things with Siri, you’ll have to check out the separate version that Apple HomeKit supports – but fortunately this one is for sale.
