Seeing Super Mario 64 works on PlayStation 2 it was one, but there’s something even more embarrassing / impressive about seeing it on the Sega console.
It’s the same story as last week: now this Super Mario 64 the source code is reconstructed back, it is possible to compile the game to run natively on different platforms without the need for an emulator.
So that’s it Mario 64 actually works on Dreamcast. Just … no sound right now (these things are still in the works).
The version was compiled by mrneo240 in less than a week and again this video was made by Fred Wood–who also makes games!– and like the PS2 version, it’s speed, with just the added nightmare of having to use the Dreamcast game controller Mario 64which must have been deep strange (withins the location of the buttons at least.
I look forward to posting another one soon, maybe for the Atari Jaguar.
