Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Wednesday that Tesla will unveil Cybertruck, its pickup truck, on November 21st in Los Angeles. Musk also tweeted that this is the location and month in the original credits of the movie Beagle Blade.

Musk had teased the pickup before. In the summer of 201

8, he said the truck would include "electrical sockets allowing the use of heavy duty 240V high power tools in the field throughout the day, no generator needed." In January, he said Tesla might be ready to open it by summer. "It will be something quite unique, unlike anything else," Musk said at the time.

Then in June, Musk said on the Ride the Lightning podcast that Tesla's pickup truck would be better than the [Ford] F-150 in terms of truck functionality and be a better sports car than the standard [Porsche] 911. "

Tesla is currently selling three vehicles: the Model S and Model 3 sedans and the utility Model X sport vehicle. It also plans to sell the Model Y crossover by the end of 2020, having already introduced a new version of the Tesla Roadster and the Semi truck.

In Q3, Tesla made a surprising profit and told shareholders that it was premature to have a new factory in Shanghai, where test production began. Musk said Tesla is premature on the Model Y crossover, due out next summer. Tesla also said it plans to start building cars at its European Gig Factory in 2021.
