A second member of Houston Texas has been suspended for the last six games of the regular season for violating drug policy.
Through James Palmer of the NFL Network, Robbie issued a statement apologizing for unintentionally swallowing a banned substance.
“I apologize to my family, my teammates, the Houston Texas organization and the fans,” Robbie said. “A few months ago, I unknowingly used a product that was contaminated with an NFL banned substance. I admit that my job is to know and be responsible for everything I put into my body. I will be suspended for 6 games ending my season. I will take the necessary steps in the future to prevent this from happening again. I look forward to joining my teammates next season in our goal of bringing the championship to Houston. “
Broad Texas successor Will Fuller has also been suspended for Monday’s last six games of the season for the same offense.
Only five games remain for the Texans this year, Robbie’s suspension will be carried over to the first game of the 2021 regular season.
Robbie has started all 10 games he has played for Houston this season. Robbie had 37 interceptions, seven saves in defense and recovery.
