SAN ANTONIO (KXAN / NBC) – A four-year-old child in San Antonio has lost both his mother and father to COVID-19.
Raiden Gonzalez’s mother, Mariah, died of COVID-19 in October, just months after the disease killed his father, Adan.
Raidan’s relatives say the death is devastating for the boy, who is due to celebrate his fifth birthday in just a few days.

The family hopes to lift his spirits with a parade and celebration and begs their community to do their part to help slow the spread of the disease.
Ryden’s great-grandmother says, “We lost two people to COVID-19, and I can’t stress enough the seriousness, the seriousness, and the injury that this pandemic could cause, so wear your mask, be safe.”
