Earlier this week, Nintendo pulled back the curtain on the second half Super Mario 3D world + Bowser rage, and the new mode definitely attracts the attention of fans. Bowser’s rage will see Mario and Bowser Jr. forced to work together to stop the Kaiju-inspired metamorphosis that has taken control of Bowser. Nintendo released an amazing work of art by the two characters staring at the (much bigger) villain and a fan decided to make this image and remake it in the style of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi Island. While the original art of Nintendo’s confrontation was already great, the pixel art from @GBrothersStudio on Twitter could be even more impressive!

Released in 1995, Yoshi Island quickly became one of Nintendo’s most beloved titles. The game differed significantly from the original The world of Super Mario, but its magnificent art style has made it one of the most distinctive Nintendo games ever. Bowser Jr. was introduced in the franchise only in 2002. Super Mario Sunshine, but the character fits very well into On Yoshi Island aesthetically, as @GBrothersStudio clearly demonstrates. Yoshi Island it mostly included lighter spots, but the game included some darker spots and @GBrothersStudio channeled them well. It’s not the kind of mess most Mario fans would expect, but it all looks great!
When it appears on the Switch, Bowser’s Rage will be offered along with another Mario classic: Super Mario 3D world. Released on the Wii U in 2013, the game features an isometric perspective and levels that you can enjoy with a single player or a group of four. The game allows players to choose between Mario, Peach, Toad, Luigi and Rosalina, although last week’s trailer for Bowser’s rage led to speculation that the sixth playable character could be added to the Nintendo Switch version of the game.
Super Mario 3D world + Bowser rage will be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on February 12th. You can check out all our previous coverage of the game right here.
