We see this all the time – the sequel to the great movie or the sequel to the brilliant debut album. It also applies to cars; ask any fan of Mk2 VW Golf for their opinion on Mk3 as proof. As humans, we fall in love, perhaps too easily, with inanimate objects. When a substitute appears and our expectations exceed its abilities, the result is a disappointment. The previous A7 was a delightful car, especially if there was a long way to go and want to do it in comfort and style. For the first time I saw the second generation of the A7 at Detroit last year. The unsightly good looks and 5.2-second 0-60 times can offer sports claims. A7 is definitely a cruiser; those looking for higher performance in the same attractive envelope have to wait for the more powerful V6 S7 or twin-turbo V8 in RS7, although none of these cars are sold. As a cruiser, he is distinguished.
