A buyer shared a funny response to an unexpected discovery in his Woolworths grocery order.
The Australian was surprised to find a box of ice cream from Cadbury Crunchie, which was already open before being delivered to his home.
Inspired by Liam Neeson’s iconic hiding phrase from the action blockbuster, Taken, the customer assumed that his ice cream was being held hostage and pleaded for its safe return.
“I ordered some groceries from Woolworths and saw that one of my Crunchie ice creams was missing!” He tweeted.
“If you bring him back now, that will be the end.” I will not look for you. I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I’ll find you …
The original quote in connection with the abduction of Neeson’s screen daughter reads:
“If you let my daughter go now, that will be the end of it.”
“I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I’ll look for you, find you, and kill you.
The photos on the box show how the stamp was forged and an empty space where the missing treat should have been.
A Woolworths representative responded with an equally amusing apology, offering the man a full recovery.
“Oh no, sorry some of Crunchie’s ice creams were missing,” the spokesman wrote.
“We hope no one is holding them hostage, as we can tell you that you enjoy them.
“We may not be able to help with the ransom, but we would like to see if we can arrange a refund.”
Since then, the buyer and Woolworths have exchanged details to arrange a refund.
