The Cardinals lost from the 49ers on Thursday night, which made Kenny Drake feel at home after spending the first eight weeks of the Dolphins season.
Drake arrived on the trade from a winning team earlier this week and played a prominent role for Arizona in his debut. Drake ran 15 times for 110 yards and caught four passes for 52 yards while the team played without David Johnson and Chase Edmonds. He also marked the first team removal in the game.
"They came and caught me for a reason," Drake said, via the team's website.
While Drake's efforts were not sufficient to win Arizona, they won the show as to why the Cardinals chose to opt out of a conditional 2020 draft backstop. He will get a little more time to settle in his new environment before facing the Buccaneers in Week 10.
