BEREA, Ohio – The Cleveland Browns once again closed their training facility after another player scored positive on Monday morning for COVID-19.
“We try to follow all the rules and keep everyone safe,” said coach Kevin Stefanski, who noted that contact tracking continues.
This is the second consecutive week in which a Cleveland player has a positive result. The Browns were due to close their contact tracking facility on Friday, after which they placed Reserve Offensive Commander Chris Hubbard on the reserve / COVID-19 list.
On November 8, the Browns were to place Baker Mayfield on the COVID-19 reserve / list after the quarterback contacted a staff member who tested positive for coronavirus. Mayfield failed the test and returned to practice on Wednesday.
The Browns beat Houston Texas 10-7 on Sunday and host the Philadelphia Eagles next weekend.
