The Cleveland, Minnesota Gemini Indians will play Friday night after discussing the postponement

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The game is played for the Indians and Twins on Friday night at Target Field.

Earlier in the day, both teams and MLB talked about a possible postponement of the start on Friday at 20:10, because two players of St. Louis Cardinals tested positive for coronavirus. The Cardinals play the Twins at Target Field on Wednesday, the day before the arrival of the Indians, to play a four-game series in Minneapolis.

The Cardinals announced on Friday morning that the two players tested positive on Wednesday while the team was in Minneapolis.

On Friday, shortly after 4:30 p.m. ET, the Indians and twins were released to play the game. The Indians will send Mike Clevinger to the mound to face Randy Dobnak of Minnesota.

The Indians lagged behind in their preparation for the game, as they did not leave the hotel until they heard that they would definitely play. The visiting locker room also had to be renovated.

Shane Bieber and James Karinchak put the Indians to a 2-0 victory in the first match of the series on Thursday night. Bieber scored eight unsuccessful innings with 1

3 penalties, and Karinchak placed ninth for his first save.

This will be the second start of Clevinger’s season.
