Uber and Lyft do essentially the same thing.
Of course, one is pink and the other is black; one is global and the other is only targeting the United States and Canada; and another has plans to fly taxis and the other does not. But when it comes to getting from point A to point B, there is no big difference.
This is good for drivers, a large part of which drives Uber and Lyft (and even other smaller companies in markets large enough to have competitors like Via). Most of the experience time of competing applications is roughly the same. But after hundreds, if not thousands of rides, drivers start to notice small differences. In many cases they vary from market to market.
