The LG CX range has been part of our overall Black Friday offerings over the past few weeks, as retailers began selling early – and the good news is that these great deals are still available in the US and UK.
We’ve seen a 55-inch model come in and out of stock at a number of retailers – not surprising given the $ 600 / £ 500 savings that’s out there – and it’s currently in stock on both sides of the Atlantic.
This is an excellent price for an OLED TV with the highest year. Those of you after an even bigger discount may not be lucky until we celebrate Black Friday, but we will certainly bring you any further price drops when they happen.

In context, the LG CX OLED is one of the best OLED TVs we’ve had the pleasure of reviewing this year.
The LG CX comes in a beautiful OLED panel, with deep black, excellent brightness control and a contrast ratio to die for. In some other OLEDs there are a few more color strokes, thanks to the separate processing of LG – and the webOS smart TV platform means that it will be more fun than boring work when navigating many applications and services on the TV.
It supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which are fast becoming industry standards for HDR image and high-definition audio content – ideal for watching compatible content from Netflix, Apple TV and Disney Plus.
It also features the latest technology in HDMI, with four HDMI 2.1 inputs. This essentially means it can display content up to 4K 120hz, with a variable refresh rate, which is exactly what the PS5 and Xbox Series X can do, as well as the latest graphics cards from Nvidia and AMD.
If you are looking for something cheaper, however, there is a descending model called the LG BX that is worth checking out.
