The first scene of the NASA NASA mega-rocket for the moon has its engines (photos)



NASA's first new mega-rocket bound to the moon now has all its engines for the first undeveloped lunar flight of the US Space Agency's space agency program.

NASA officials filmed a major step in a new a photograph showing four RS-25 engines attached to the main stage (first stage) of the space launch system's massive rocket system which is designed to bring astronauts to the lunar surface in 2024 [19659003] This first SLS will launch an Orion spacecraft around the moon in a mission called Artemis 1 . Orion will release several cubes to study the moon before flying back to Earth for high-speed testing. This mission is planned for 2020, but may be pulled out by 2021

, depending on how the tests pass .

</figcaption><p>  (Image Credit: NASA / Jude Guidry) [19659035] "Completed milestone with four engines attached The RS-25 is the largest rocket phase NASA has built since the Saturn V stages of the Apo Program lo, "which sent Americans to the moon for the first time," NASA officials said in a statement <u> </u> referring to the program that manages human moon landing missions between 1969 and 1972. [19659002] Technicians now integrate others missile systems, including propulsion and electrical systems. Once the rocket is put together, <u> NASA and its partners will test </u> the flying computers, electrical systems, and avionics in the main stage to prepare for the big launch. "This testing is the first time that all avionics systems will be tested together to ensure that the systems communicate with each other and properly control missile flight," NASA added. </p>
<p>  The engine of the engine <u> RS-25 </u> was used in the space shuttle program that flew between 1981 and 2011. While the shuttle was designed for low-Earth orbit missions, the SLS is much larger (385 feet, or 117 meters in height) and is designed to take astronauts to the moon and Mars. </p>
