The US can still give Huawei a Mate 30 refund before launch, but the company doesn't count on it. She recently introduced her own HarmonyOS operating system, a substitute for the Play Store and mapping. However, without Google's official Android operating system and applications, the Mate 30 will obviously be a much less attractive option in Europe and other major Huawei markets.

This is too bad for smartphone lovers since Huawei devices like P30 Pro are powerful hardware and have some of the best cameras you can get. The Mate 30 itself is rumored to pack quad chambers into a circular module and very curved "waterfall" ends. So it will be extremely interesting to see how it handles the lack of Google software if that proves to be the case.
