Former Facebook security chief Alex Stamos told CNN’s Brian Steller on Sunday that something must be done to stop conservative speech from reaching tens of millions of Americans.
“People have so much choice now,” Stamos complained. “They can choose what their news sources are. They can choose what influencers they want to follow and they can try to seal anything that helps them question that.”
The left does not like competition. If they could have a ministry of truth, as the AOC insists, control of the story would be much easier.
Stamos then called for conservative votes to be removed from social media in the same way that ISIL propaganda was removed from the internet.
“I think we need to do a few things,”
Stamos recalled how Facebook and other major social media companies have worked with the government to ban ISIL, saying the same approach should be taken with conservatives.
“And second, we must reject the ability of these conservative influencers to reach this vast audience,” Stamos continued. “There are people on YouTube, for example, who have a larger audience than the daily CNN, and they are extremely radical in pursuing extremely radical views.”
And what? Where in the constitution does it say that most Americans should listen to fake CNN news? The last part of his plan for Orwell includes forcing cable providers to remove OANN and Newsmax from their programming.
“And then we will have to understand the problem with OANN and Newsmax,” he said. “These companies have freedom of speech, but I’m not sure we need Verizon, AT&T, Comcast and the like to bring them into tens of millions of homes. Allowing people to search for information if they really want to, but not put in their faces, which I think we should go here. ”
Of course, if no one can watch a news channel, it will not work for very long, which is important. In addition, Google is already working to make sure you can’t find the information. Leftists have nothing against conservative speech, as long as no one listens to it.
