The Irish Trailer Has Scorsese Returning To The Netflix Crowd

Netflix has released the first trailer for Martin Scorsese & # 39; s The Irishman . The upcoming Mafia drama spans decades and follows Frank Sheeran ( Robert De Niro ), a hitman whose actions have changed the course of American history.

Obviously, this is not the first time Scorsese has told a story about American culture through the lens of crime, but judging by the trailer, it seems that the film really takes our political moment of indecision and how anyone who hopes to change the system, is rejected. What makes this trailer so powerful is how it relies more on the story and relationship with its original meaning and waits until the very end to show you the digitally obsolete De Niro. This shows that the movie needs VFX, but they are not the reason to watch this movie. The reason I see him is Scorsese telling an incredibly pertinent story with three acting legends.

See the Irish trailer below. The film opens on Netflix theaters and hits this fall, and also stars Al Pacino, Joe Peski, Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Bobby Kanavalli, Anna Pakin, Stephen Graham, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jack Huston, Catherine Nardu, Jesse Plemons, Domenic Lombardozi, Paul Herman, Gary Basaraba and Marin Ireland .

Here's the official synopsis for The Irishman :
