Mortal Kombat has never been avoided by violence or too mature images, but sometimes its developer, NetherRealm Studios, has made concessions when needed. And sometimes, as in Mortal Kombat 11 the developer censored his content for a comedic effect. and basically scares the other fighter to death. Initially, the face revealed censorship from a series of distorted pixels, but NetherRealm decided to remove the censorship for one reason or another.
Uncensored Kabal brutality is just one of several changes introduced in the Mortal Kombat 1
It is unclear why NetherRealm has been changed to the uncensored version in the latest version. Mortal Kombat 11 notes for patch. After seeing what is under the pixels, it seems that the studio did not censor the brutality to keep the game's rating or to try to calm the culture; this is a stylistic choice and one that works better with intact pixelisation.
Mortal Kombat 11 is now available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
